The Norma B. Connelly Public Affairs Service Award recognizes individuals who have given extraordinary service to Navy Public Affairs. The Chief of Information selects the recipients.
USNPAAA and the Navy Chief of Information established the award in 2008 to honor Norma Connelly, a longtime USNPAA member who extraordinary service as the Chief of Information’s personal executive secretary from September 1978 to July 2000. (Sightings, May 2008, p. 5)
