The Resignation of David Albritton, USNPAA President
Dear USNPAA Members,
Dave Albritton has reluctantly informed the board of directors that he must step down as president of the association due to some serious health issues involving his family, along with some increased responsibilities and workload in his business. Dave feels that in light of these increased demands, he simply would find it difficult to dedicate the time and focus necessary to continue fulfilling the responsibilities as president.
During his short tenure, Dave initiated several new ideas that would help take the association to a new level, and the board is extremely grateful for his energy and the contributions he made in such a relatively short time. The board, of course, regrets Dave’s having to make this decision. However, all the board members understand that family issues always take precedence.
The board has approved a search committee that will identify a new president who will—in Dave’s words—“take the ball and progress it down the field.” Dave says he will remain a strong supporter of the organization. We will keep association members informed about identifying someone to fill Dave’s shoes.
In the interim, while the board looks for a new president for our association, our vice presidents, John Carmen and Jill Votaw, have agreed to serve as acting co-presidents.
