TJ Completes a Five-Year Tenure at the Helm
Dave Albritton Relieves Tom Jurkowsky as USNPAA President
Dear USNPAA Members,
As I announced at our reunion in September, I would be stepping down as president of the USNPAA after a five-year tenure. My relief is Dave Albritton. Here is a copy of his bio for you.
Dave is a superbly gifted leader and has amassed a tremendous record of successes over his professional career as a communicator. He has many ideas to take the organization to a new level, and I’m confident he will do that with your support.
As I’ve said many times during my tenure, we are a unique community—probably the most unique in the Navy. Those of us like myself who have served in the private and government sectors after our Navy service all share the same feelings. Although we have had some great experiences and worked with some wonderful professionals in those jobs, we always harken back to our Navy experiences. The people we worked with and the challenges we faced as members of the Navy public affairs community are special. We remember them the most.
Thank you for your support over the last five years. It has been a pleasure to meet and to get to know many of you. I know you will support Dave, and I have the fullest confidence he will take the organization to the next level.
Tom Jurkowsky
Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy (Ret.)
